50th in Mauritius!

 Lesley and I have been married 19 years (almost) but we are both 50 this year! 

To celebrate we decided to go on holiday and return to the hotel where we went on honeymoon – this time taking the kids. Lesley’s birthday was while we were away. It was such a fantastic time for us so we felt it would be a great thing to do. The downside was that Lesley wanted a posh watch as a present so we bought that on the way out in duty free so I was really struggling to think of something to give her on the day. 

Thankfully, RF Champagne sprang to mind and the bottle arrived within a couple of days. We hid the bottle in the luggage being careful for Lesley not to see it and surprised her at breakfast on the beach! We chilled it down nicely and the hotel were good enough to let us drink it in the restaurant with our evening meal at Château Mon Désir.

It was a fantastic way for her to see in a big birthday and we have kept the bottle – now we need to decide what to do with that!
